The Vimal group's founder that overarching patriarch Shri ChanduBhai Patel, of the Rs.1500 Crore Vimal Group was born in 1941 in Jasalpur, a small village in Mehsana District of Gujarat. An ambitious electrical engineer, he was employed in a government job. This he continued for 9 years before finally deciding to nurture his own dream and tread his personal path of ambition.
It was in 1974 that he started a small business of manufacturing Boosters & Transformers in Mehsana in the face of the bottlenecks of industrial infrastructure and investments.
Shri C.I.Patel led this small manufacturing unit of Boosters & Transformers to become a conglomerate, which today operates 19 companies in 7 sectors successfully. A first generation entrepreneur did overcome many challenges based on his commitment and a vision.
Shri C.I.Patel continue to enrich the Vimal Group with sound business governance and value driven managment practices. His foresight and ability to adapt quickly to changing times and create opportunities is a successful business model for the rest of the industry in Gujarat.
He is an active member of the corporate community. Apart from the promotion of the Gujarat industry, he is actively involved in many associations such as CII, GCCI.
